MicroBypass for Alpine Radios (3-Wire)

*The INE-W970HD Alpine radio is the only radio in the Alpine lineup that has an extended turn on time. Due to this initial startup offset, the radio requires being power cycled for it to control the MicroBypass® properly. Instead of cycling the ignition twice, you can simply source off the radio (press and hold the middle button, labeled with the squares on it, to source off the radio), then press the same button to turn it back on (and you will see the MicroBypass® is then active and unlocking the normally restricted features). This will allow the MicroBypass® to cycle properly once the radio restarts (without the long startup).

** The MicroBypass® also works on the Alpine restyle radios.  All of the connections for the MicroBypass® should be made at the Alpine radio's main power plug (at the back of the radio). To work properly, the parking brake wire coming from the Maestro module must be cut free, capped off, and not connected to anything. This way, the MicroBypass® yellow/blue wire will be the only wire connected to the yellow/blue wire coming from the Alpine radio wire harness. Use our Tech Support link if you need technical help.
